Dismissal of School to 6PM, Monday-Friday
Character Care was implemented to help take care of children whose parents work until 6:00. We provide help with homework, snack, random acts of kindness days, weekly field trips, and a Christian atmosphere. God, Family, and Character are our focus.
At Character Care children participate in a variety of activities and events throughout the hours following school designed to burn off all the built-up energy the children have from being in school all day. Character Care wants to keep them energized, enthusiastic and focused on strengthening their character and relationships with the Lord. When the weather permits, we provide as much outdoor time/outdoor activities as possible. Children play a variety of games both indoors and out. We also provide the children with time to simply relax after a long school day.
Homework: Character Care provides children with an opportunity to complete homework from the school day with help from qualified staff.
Game Room: Character Care has a game room that includes comfortable seating for resting, an XBOX 360 with plenty of fun, age appropriate games that all children can play, a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, a Dance, Dance Revolution (DDR) area, and a Nintendo Wii.
Character Care After-School Program follows the Rogers Public Schools Calendar. If Rogers Public Schools are closed, Character Care will also be closed. When our year-round school, Benton County School of the Arts, is out for their breaks, Character Care will remain open so long as Rogers Public Schools remain open; however, if Rogers Schools are closed and Benton County School of the Arts is open, Character Care will still be closed.
