First Friends School is located in the Mary Ruth Garner Children's Center
which opened in the fall of 2005. This beautiful, well-planned facility serves church members and visitors during church, and houses the weekday First Friends school during the week as a community outreach.
Better Beginnings Accreditation is a voluntary system for all child care programs in Arkansas that has been available since 1993. Accreditated programs have made a commitment to provide quality care, nurturing attention, and appropriate educational experiences that are important for the development of each child.
Only 10% of Arkansas child care programs are accredited. Of the 102 child care programs in Rogers and Bentonville there are only four Better Beginnings Accredited private programs and First Friends is one of the three. First Friends maintains the highest level.
The quality of care that a child receives in the early years has a life-long effect on intellectual, social, emotional and physical development. Children who attend quality programs are more eager to learn, relate better to their teachers and peers, and are better prepared to adjust to kindergarten. We are proud of our staff for the outstanding role they play in helping set a solid foundation for the young children enrolled at First Friends.
