We will be going to Joplin to work with “Rebuild Joplin” on the relief effort for those affected by the tornado. There will be a group driving up and coming back each day, Monday through Saturday, May 21-26. The group will leave from the church parking lot each day and return late afternoon. If you are interested in helping please sign-up at the kiosk Sunday morning or call the church office. Youth under 18 can volunteer as long as we have 1 chaperon per 5 youth. If you have questions speak with Warren Wilkey or Milt Potee.

FCC is offering Child & Personnel Protection Training for those who have never taken it and all who have taken it in the past who would like to renew their training. This training will take place at the church on Tuesday, June 5th, 6:30 PM.

It's time for another Neighborhood Outreach Day (N.O.D.) Saturday, April 28

Be watching for more information. There will be opportunities for you to volunteer in many areas. April 14th we will be passing out door hangers. All ages and skills are needed.

This important meeting is for all Participants and their Parents for the Mission Trip to Nashville, TN

Following second service we will have a Potluck with meat, bread and drinks provided. You will want to bring your favorite side dish, salad or dessert and join your FCC family for fun and fellowship. You will have the opportunity to give a donation to help support our summer youth mission trip. 

Everyone is invited to this winter "event", Saturday, February 25th at 8:30 AM for a special morning of feeding on the Word and sharing. The event will begin with a light breakfast and conclude with a surprise project you are going to love!

We will be taking vans to Silver Dollar City for the Holiday Lights and fun again this year. We will go on Saturday, December 10th. The van(s) will leave from the church parking lot at 10 AM and return at 10 PM. As always you are welcome to drive your own car or ride the van. For those who do NOT have Season Passes to Silver Dollar City the group rate this year is $50 (ages 12 and up) and $39 (ages 4-11). As always those under 4 get in free. Tickets will need to be ordered on December 4th, so make your reservation soon.

There’s a special treat in store for our Bible Study groups this Fall – Priscilla Shirer’s study, “One In A Million”. We’ll journey with Priscilla from Egypt to our own Promised Land. Along the way we’ll find God’s purpose for the journey, and direction for our own spiritual lives. 

The seven week study will begin for the day group Tuesday morning, September 20 at 9:00, and for the evening group, Thursday evening, September 22 at 6:00 P.M. We’ll experience Priscilla Shirer’s dynamic teaching style on video and have lively discussion in our own groups. Sign up soon at the kiosk. We’ll order your study book and have it on hand for the first session. Course fee, $20, includes your book. Come and join us on the journey!

Our overall goal is to have fun, to allow members and friends the opportunity to try out many of our Sunday school classes, to polish up our evangelism skills, to get to know some brothers and sisters in Christ, and to grow spiritually deeper together. If you don’t currently attend a Sunday school class, this is a great opportunity to try one out—they will all be on their best behavior. 

On Sunday, August 14, following second service, an Inheritance Planning Seminar will be led by the Rev. Bobby Hawley of the Christian Church Foundation. No matter how old people are or how much money they have, the government will get more of your assets if you don’t know how to protect your nest egg! In this 60-minute presentation, you will learn the strengths and weaknesses of several popular financial planning tools. You also will learn about how you can make a gift to your church or another charity and reap financial benefits for doing so. Rev. Hawley is not selling anything; he is giving away a lot of great information. Join us in the Fellowship Hall at noon on Sunday, August 14. A light lunch will be provided. Financial knowledge is financial power!!
